PID Road Update - Aug 2026

We wanted to reach out and share a few quick updates:
1) Winter Services Update:
Our winter snow plow contractor has suggested they may not be renewing their contract with the County to serve our PID. If this is true, the County will put the work out for bid shortly.
No formal reason has been given by the contractor, but there are some concerns on community actions impacting the contractor and the sheer challenges of snow removal in our community. Please watch for details on this. If you are interested or know someone interested, please watch BidNet for dates and proposals.
2) Summer Grading
  • Nearly all roads have been graded at this point, you will see many roads graded this year that were not in past years.. The contractor is working to remove vegetation and improve drainage on these roads.

We are to the project phase where the road base will be laid down- addressing the worst of the worst, pothole patching on the chip seal and culverts flushed were needed. (Aug - Sept)

The contractor will wrap up the season with a touch of all the major roads (3rd grading on many) and re-application of dust suppressant on the access road and spot treatments on high wear areas (Sept -Oct)
3) Board Member Applications: The County will start to solicit applications shortly. We will have 2 open board positions, typical term is 4 years, volunteers are needed and greatly appreciated.
  • Connie Garretts Term will expire in Nov, she has served the community for 3 terms, she has covered nearly every role on the board and has been a great asset to the community. I want to personally thank her for re-joining the board in 2022 when we had no applicants and the board consisted of only two people.

Open Position - Limited / No community applications in 2025, County will repost this position. The PID board has no say in the selection process, we are limited to encouraging the community to apply.

  • LASTLY - Please work with County and PID Board prior to running any tracked vehicle on the Access Road - Damage is a community cost, and can result in impacts to the Contractor, Operator and home owner.
